Bon Chon at Ayala Center Cebu

I saw this fast food in a South Korean television drama and being a fanatic I was ecstatic that it is available in Ayala Center Cebu for that matter. Thank you whoever you are for bringing Bon Chon here in Cebu.

Now to the food, it was tasty but by golly the serving ware is not appealing. Can somebody please change this red PLASTIC bowls for something more appealing.

Serving time is a bit long for a fast food..

Moving on, the ambiance of the place is appealing enough. But the place does not have enough space to move around. It is not friendly for people with disability. What do I mean, the pathways are too small so if ever you go in with a wheelchair, on crutches or with a baby stroller. You will have difficulty positioning around the place especially if you are going there during peak seasons. And it is too hot to sit outside. 

Restrooms are limited to one and it is unisex. 

Planet Vegis at Parkmall Cebu

This is quite a different palate to what I am used to. As you probably have noticed I prefer to eat meat - pork meat to be honest rather than vegetables. But at a certain point in one's life some of us need to stop eating such cholesterol - riffic dishes. And start eating healthy organic food.

Anyways, so I saw a banner outside Parkmall about a new restaurant called Planet Vegis, and like the name it bears it only serves vegetables. Thus, I was piqued to check it out.

It is located at the second floor of the Enclave Building at Parkmall at Ouano Avenue, Tipolo, Mandaue City.

So, finally I located the place went up the stairs which I must say is not joke if you are week on your knees, the height I believe is to build up your appetite. 

When I entered the place it was small and where I was sitting it was hot but thankfully their airconditioning was working. But there are other seats in the place which were cooler. I just wanted to sit there.

Once settled in, I ordered their highly recommeded budget meal dish.  I must say that I am impressed with the taste but not the plates they were served in. I felt like I was in a "karenderia".  And prices of food were expensive. And lastly, I wish their serving time was lesser than 20 minutes given the ingredients.

Azabu Japanese Restuarant at Robinsons Galleria Cebu

This Japanese restaurant located in Robinson's Galleria has great food but I am not so please with the service time. 

When you step in the restaurant the staff takes a long time to get your order. Though, the staff are very friendly the serving time for customers is just a drag.

So now you have placed your order, the wait is long probably 15-20 minutes. It's too much for a Japanese restaurant. 

Finally, when my orders were served. The noodles are a must try on a cold and rainy day. The noodles are big and chewy. Tempura is crunchy on the outside but soft and chewy in the inside. Fried chicken is above you average fast food taste. The macha tea was a new experience to my taste bud and it was tasty as well.

Another thing, this place doesn't have their own restroom so you have to go out  and go inside the mall for that.

As to if it is person with disability friendly area, the place is accessible.

The price is somewhere being affordable.

All in all the place, is a must try. And patience is a virtue.

Phat PHo Vietnamese Restaurant at Ayala Center Cebu

This Vietnamese theme restaurant located in Ayala Center Cebu delivers a similar taste like Lemon Grass but with a twist.

The ambience of the restaurant is very earthly in hues of brown with wooden beams criss crossing all over the restaurant. While the ligts are encased in wooden sticks floating over our heads. Which gives off a dreamy atmosphere. The place is definitely classy in it own way.

Moving onto food, as I have mentioned earlier it reminded me of Lemon Grass but with a twist. The taste for example has some sweetness, sourness in one plate. It leaves you confused but wanting for more.

Servings are big which can be shared by two, a great savings I must say. 

Shakes you can mix 2 to 3 fruits like banana and mango or watermelon and carrot. It all depends of fruit availability and your taste buds as well. At first I didn't like mixing 2 fruits in a shake but once they are serve it doesn't matter in the end they blend together and gives your tongue a surprise, definitely a must try.

All in all, the food and ambience was great.

Prices are moderately expensive but since the servings are good for two it comes out as a fair price.

10 Dove St at SM Seaside Cebu City

10 Dove Street has opened its doors in SM Seaside Cebu City. 

So happy...and get ready for a sweet tooth overload.

Like all its other branches it comes with its divinely delicious cakes  for those located at the other side of town heading south.

The interior of the restaurant is soft lighted. Designed in such a way that when you walk in, it feels like you are at home.

You can also order lunch, snacks or dinner at the restaurant. Their dishes are simply appetizing  and affordable.

If you want everything without going overboard with your expenses, then do try their group meals, sets that include salad, soup, sandwich and a cake. With this sets you can taste everything without spending too much. 

The waiting time to be serve is around 15 to 20 minutes or shorter depending on your order. The great thing about their serving process is that they don't serve it all at once. Do inform them to serve the one that can be fulfilled right away and the rest will follow or ask them to serve all at once. Usually I prefer to have it the former.

And while waiting for your order you can also go over their displays of wonderful cakes to discover on your next visit. Mind you, one visit is not enough.

Moving on to other aspects of the place, they have their on restroom. The only hitch is that, it is only one. So during peak times there could be a long line. 

Staff is accommodating and very helpful.

All in all it is always a joy to come and feast at 10 Dove Street.
